Trahison Des Clercs, ICE SVU’s Joseph Macias Attacks President Trump’s Immigration Enforcement

In the never ending story of betrayal, subversion, and sabotage by Trump appointees and the permanent bureaucracy, another ICE SVU Special Agent-in-Charge, Joseph Macias, attacked the immigration enforcement priorities and policies of President Trump.  All this with the obvious approval of President Trump’s purported Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kirstjen Nielsen, Lady DACA.  Your correspondent warned then candidate Trump that ICE SVU, the moniker of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations (ICE HSI), one of two major components of ICE, the other being ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), because HSI has no interest in immigration enforcement.  [President Trump Will Have Foes In Immigration Bureaucracy—But Also Friends. They Can Help Him Win, by Federale, VDare, April 25, 2016]  Sadly my warning about the perfidy of ICE SVU came true, and in ways even worse than expected.  So flagrant has been ICE SVU’s opposition and sabotage that ICE SVU Special Agents-In-Charge (SAC) open defied President Trump and illegally lobbied for a separation of ICE SVU from ICE ERO, a violation of the Hatch Act, besides being insubordinate.  [ICE SVU Insubordinate Leadership Attacks Trump, by Federale, Federale, Fifth Columnist Blog, June 29, 2018]  One of the origins of this problem was the unholy combination of the legacy U.S. Customs Service (USCS) with the legacy U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service, that resulted in legacy Customs Agents, like Ryan Spradlin, dominating ICE SVU.  [The Age Old Customs Immigration Rivalry Escalates, ICE SVU Hardest Hit, by Federale, Federale, Fifth Columnist Blog, August 4, 2018]  Not to be outdone by Spradlin, Joe Macias, has gone public again with the ICE SVU leadership war on President Trump.  Macias, of course, was a signatory to the insubordinate and illegal letter demanding an end to ICE SVUs’ involvement in immigration enforcement, backstabbing their fellow ICE officers in ERO.

Insubordinate Backstabber And Never Trumper Joe Macias, ICE SVU

Homeland Security Investigations, a branch within Immigration and Customs Enforcement, focuses on combating cross-border criminal activity and is billed as the investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security. While many of its investigations involve immigrants, including some in the country illegally, many do not.

But its connection to ICE — at a time when the agency is under fire because of its role in deportations and enforcing President Trump’s aggressive immigration policy — has caused friction with some law enforcement agencies.

In California, where a “sanctuary” law, Senate Bill 54, went into effect last year to provide protection for immigrants in the country illegally, agents have voiced frustration over police departments pulling out from operations — sometimes at the last moment — as well as withdrawing from task forces and slowing down investigations.

Macias, in coordination with the reporter Mejia, both Hispanics, doubled down on their agenda, HSI doesn’t like immigration law enforcement, orange man bad.

“Now all of a sudden I have an agent in the street saying, ‘This police department doesn’t want to work with us because my cred says ICE,’” said Joseph Macias, special agent in charge for Homeland Security Investigations Los Angeles.

Trump’s hard-line stance on illegal immigration has provoked cities across the country to scrutinize agreements with ICE and, in some cases, end collaborations with the agency altogether.

“In the realm of everything that’s going on here in the sanctuary state with Senate Bill 54, it is absolutely making [agents’] job harder,” Macias said. “The boots on the ground, the guys that are doing the work, they understand it. We never want to violate any of the Senate bill’s pieces that are in there, but we want to make sure our guys are safe.”

Now, such in-depth pieces are not allowed in DHS without approval from the Director of ICE, himself, strangely, a former Border Patrol Agent, Ronald Vitiello, supposedly brought in to force ICE SVU back into the immigration enforcement business.  Sadly, your correspondent may overestimated Vitiello.  [ICE SVU Going Down?, by Federale, VDare, July 1, 2018]  Undoubtedly this attack on immigration enforcement by ICE was also coordinated with Lady DACA, herself part of the problem with immigration enforcement, either at the border or in the interior.

Again and again, like Cassandra, your correspondent has warned President Trump that personnel is policy.  ICE SVU, the supposed investigative arm of DHS, has also ignored the alien smugglers involved in the Caravan of Death To America By Demographic DisplacementICE SVU and Lady DACA are deliberately sabotaging immigration enforcement, and doing so publicly and insultingly.  Time for Macias and Lady DACA, as well as the others in the Dirty 19, to be fired and replaced by patriots.
