Treason Bar And Globalists Worried; A Trump Victory Will Cause Crops To Rot In The Fields

When accusations of racism don’t work, the open borders advocates, Aaron Reichlin-Melnick, of the Treason Bar, among the many, claim that Americans will starve to death because the crops will be rotting in the fields for lack of illegal alien field workers. Unmentioned is that the same open borders advocates who want illegal aliens to harvest and process food products also want to amnesty those same irreplaceable workers so those same workers can leave the fields for more lucrative work in the cities. Better to bus tables or sit home on welfare than the difficult work in the fields, the canneries, or the slaughter houses. The result is a new crop of illegal aliens needed to do the work that legalized illegals will no longer do.

The fear though of deportations appears to be real. They are even undermining Joe Biden by admitting that inflation is a problem and could get worse if Donald Trump deports 11 million, or 11-13 million, or whatever number of illegal aliens; a number always smaller than the real number north of 22 million. Treason Bar shyster Aaron Reichlin-Melnick is leading the fight. He is notorious on X for his dissembling on the immigration issue, from outright lies to sly misrepresentations, the truth is almost always the opposite of what this usual suspect claims.

Let’s start with the crops will soon be rotting in the fields, the oldest trope from the open borders advocates.

Crops Will Be Rotting In The Fields

It is not just the farm workers, other illegal aliens contribute to the economy and everything will rot in the fields, from the unwashed dishes in restaurants, to, well, just about everything, including science and technology.

Despite the popular misconception that most of these unauthorized immigrants are farm workers, only 4 percent, or 283,000, work in agriculture. Mass deportation would be particularly damaging to the construction industry, which employs 1.5 million or 21 percent of all working unauthorized immigrants, and hospitality companies, which employ 1.1 million or 16 percent. Another 1 million or 14 percent of working unauthorized immigrants have jobs providing professional, scientific, technical, or administrative services; 10 percent or 714,000 work in manufacturing; and 8 percent or 570,000 have jobs in retail.

Trump’s Plans for Mass Deportation Would Be an Economic Disaster, by by Robert J. Shapiro, Washington Monthly, May 21, 2024

Information not provided is that illegal aliens, mostly Hispanic, are net tax consumers, not net contributors. Their removal is a long-term benefit.

Immigration Has Costs

This claim of an unmitigated impact of deportation of 11 million illegal aliens will occur immediately. Any mass deportation program, which as I repeatedly stated, along the lines of Operations Wetback, cannot happen for legal reasons, and any deportation program will take time.

The real option open to President Trump is the Mitt Romney solution, self-deportation by making life in the United States for illegal aliens unbearable. This can be done because the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Social Security Administration (SSA) know where the overwhelming number of illegal aliens work as very few illegal aliens are paid in cash, most use a false Social Security Number (SSN), use a Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), or use a number assigned to someone else. Add in all the welfare recipients who’s information is obtainable by the Departments of Agriculture and Health and Human Services (DOA and HHS). This means a slow and methodical program of raids, audits, and criminal prosecution of employers, arrests of illegals on welfare, and very public arrests of illegal aliens in the streets. It won’t be like Operation Wetback, as illegal aliens once arrested for the most part have rights to take their case to the Executive Office For Immigration Review (EOIR). Immediate deportation can only be brought back by legislation, to wit, expanding Expedited Removal to all illegal aliens.

Given that the process will be slow, but likely gather steam as kritarchs are crushed and fear takes hold of arrest and separation from family members. There was a time when illegals feared arrest, time to make fear great again, as it works.

Illegal Aliens Can Be Replaced By Machines

But the slow process will give industry time to adjust, with mechanization the best solution, followed by increased pay and benefits for American workers in agriculture. [Listen here for a good review of the issue.]

Just starting would mean empty shelves and a doubling of food costs immediately, “… food prices doubling within weeks.” All before one illegal alien is deported. Reichlin-Melnick is a super Mitt Romney.

Cats And Dogs Living Together
And Crops Rotting In The Fields

The globalists are so desperate that they are even bringing up the trade deficit to support illegal immigration. Ross Perot’s giant sucking sound is back with a vengeance.

The Trade Deficit

In fact, farm wages could double, attracting a new workforce, and there would be minimal impact on food prices as wages are not the largest cost of producers. [Farm Labor Shortages:
How Real? What Response?
, By Philip Martin, Center For Immigration Studies, November, 2007]

No Panic Necessary

But we get to the real reason Richlin-Melnick just doesn’t want any enforcement, he just doesn’t want illegal aliens and their anchor babies deported.

Shameless Baby Waving

I am also shocked to learn that Reichlin-Melnick supports child labor in the fields. Frankly, I’m stunned.

But the lies are not limited to amnesty. Reichlin-Melnick is openly lying about asylum based on domestic abuse. He says that his co-religionist’s overturning the Based Jeff Sessions decision denying asylum to crime victims, in this case domestic abuse, was not expanding asylum claims. Talk about chutzpah.

Kids Call This Gaslighting, Adults Call This Lying

When you “reset” the basis for asylum by increasing the beneficiary pool of asylees, that is called an expansion of asylum.

So, this gets four Pinocchios on the Lie-O-Meter. The truth is that deporting one million agricultural workers will not happen in weeks, or even two years, but it will have an impact, and there will not be close to 22 million illegal aliens deported by the government, but millions will leave on their own volition, with everyone being able to adjust gradually. Also missing is that legal temporary agricultural non-immigrant visas, the H-2A visa, can be used judiciously to lessen any impact.
