Aside from being the usual suspect, is he a liar or a fool? I tend to the liar, because I am not only an expert on alien crime and immigration, but can notice what the public persona of Ackman is, a billionaire with a pecuniary interest in open borders for the most part. Ackman being a know-nothing billionaire also likely explains why his is always featured in Elon Musk’s replies on X. Which just goes to prove, you don’t have to be intelligent or moral to be famous or infamous, perhaps just plain evil to be an X reply guy, just look at the Krassenstein brothers. Ackman came to my attention because he replied guyed to an Elon Musk X on immigration, basically illegal immigration bad, legal immigration good. Elon noted the rather absurd nature of the legal American immigration system as well, which he is basically correct about. The American legal immigration system gives preference to family relationships, random foreigners, and those who purchase an Immigrant Visa (IV), there is precious little skilled immigration, but too much employment based immigration for those scabs driving down wages of American citizens. My confession is that I admire those who work hard and succeed in an honest manner and don’t harm Americans, I can support some skilled immigration, though if they are not White, I would restrict such immigration to those with proven culinary skills and a history of restaurant based business skills; basically I like restaurant diversity, but no other diversity. Skilled in teppanyaki, sushi, wagyu, dim sum, or gogi-gui, you’re in and can stay so long as your business thrives. And if you get the Michelin star, you can stay permanently.

Ostensibly this is fine; talented, hard-working, and honesty are good characteristics to have in an immigrant. Of course, it does not mention the welfare issue, many billionaires want to take advantage of honest and hard-working immigrants to drive down wages so their profits go up, with the costs of those immigrants born by the tax-payer. Elon Musk took advantage, though apparently unknowingly, of hard-working and honest illegal aliens at his Tesla plant in Fremont, CA.
Knowingly or not, that is one aspect of both legal and illegal immigration, driving down wages. Now, it is true that sometimes there is a shortage or lack of a certain skill-set in America, so that can be addressed with skilled immigration, provided those are paid at a wage that does not impact Americans, either directly through competition or indirectly through discouraging Americans entering into any particular skill-set, blue-collar or white-collar.
Talent, honesty, and a strong work-ethic should be the first set of characteristics in allowing immigration, but the devil is in the details; how many of these immigrants, do they replace family-based immigration which does not screen for talent, honesty, or work-ethic, and most importantly, what do we do with those who do not measure up? A quick deportation? Musk does not address that. I for one would like to interview Musk about the details that accompany his general immigration plan.
But that outline of a general immigration policy is much better than the one billionaire Ackman wants. Apparently he is even worse than Hugh Hewitt, criminal aliens? No problem, the poor illegal aliens were forced into a life a crime by an America with a niggardly policy on work authorization for illegal aliens.
Now Musk uses honesty for which presumably includes or is a synonym for good moral character, the actual term in immigration law of which all immigrants must meet. Now, I will not go into detail into how that legal requirement for immigration degenerated over time to mean nothing more that a lack of serious criminal convictions. Good moral character is obviously more than that, it includes not just a lack of convictions, but not engaging in crime in the first place, not just not getting caught, it includes other non-criminal behavior, such as not being a pornographer, dishonesty, laziness, and other moral failing that suggest an immigrant will not become dependent on society, a drain on the welfare system, or a pervert of some sort.
Ackman however appears to think that there is no moral standard for immigrants, as they are, like blacks, the eternal victims, forced into a life of crime, with the poor illegal aliens released at the border by the Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty forced to pillage, rob, rape, and murder because they have to wait six months before they can apply for employment authorization, provided they file an asylum application.
Now, in the case of the infamous Venezuelan illegal aliens who beat police officers in New York and murdered Laken Riley, there is no evidence that they filed an asylum claim and then, six months later, filed, much less were denied, applications for employment authorization.
But according to Ackman, the illegal alien crime wave is based on illegal aliens being deprived of immediate employment authorization. To any rational person, the claim that illegal aliens well supported on welfare are the gangsters doing professional burglaries is absurd. And the rational person would be correct, beneficiaries of the ongoing Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty do not need to do crime to stave off starvation; the Federal government is spending billions on support for illegal aliens, either directly through various programs administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or other Federal agencies. This does not include the contracted billions spent by Non-Profit Corporations (NPC) in the United States on illegal aliens.
Worse yet though is that Ackman does not even get the facts of his claim correct; the alien burglary ring he describes as striking at the home of a fellow billionaire, are not made up of fraudulent asylum claimants released into the United States by the Biden Regime Administrative Amnesty or other illegal aliens, but by organized rings of Chilean criminal gangsters who enter the United States ostensibly legally, on the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).

For months he had been pursuing a four-member crew that included its reputed leader, Bryan Herrera Maldonado. Though only 24, he was said to be among the most wanted burglars in the New York City area. Bonilla estimates that Maldonado’s gang broke into at least 100 private homes across the country. They allegedly stole cash, jewelry, electronics, watches, and designer clothes and handbags—loot Bonilla believes amounted to millions—from mansions in towns like Bronxville, Greenwich, Hewlett Harbor, Old Westbury, and Sands Point. But that was just a fraction of the haul Maldonado was alleged to have swiped on a “theft tour” across the U.S. and in various countries around the world…
According to the Los Angeles special agent with the FBI, the crime wave actually started off in 2014, when Chile joined the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) program. The 40-nation initiative grants those countries’ citizens virtually automatic 90-day visa waivers, permitting them, with just a passport, to jump on a plane to other ESTA destinations. (Chile is the sole Latin American country in the program.) Prior to COVID, more than 200,000 Chileans came to the U.S. each year. But within two years of Chile’s new ESTA status, “word of mouth,” the Los Angeles special agent with the FBI asserts, led more and more Chileans with larcenous plans to take quick vacations. The FBI agent says that “they see people come home having made thousands and even millions”—leading others to try their luck.

A correction of the author Wortman is necessary here. The program by which Chileans enter the United States without a Non-Immigrant Visa (NIV) to stay temporarily as tourists or business visitors, is the VWP, not ESTA. Wortman incorrectly identifies ESTA as the legal authority to apply for entry to the United States as a non-immigrant, ESTA instead is a pre-screening system used by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for all visitors prior to boarding an aircraft or vessel. ESTA is not an IV, NIV, or VWP which authorizes an alien to appear at a Port-of-Entry (POE) and make an application with an Immigration Officer, normally a U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer (CBPO), to enter the United States. Basically, an alien must have an NIV, IV, or VWP eligibility before they can go to the ESTA website and notify CBP that the he or she would like to board an aircraft or vessel and arrive at a POE to be inspected, nothing more. The inspection then determines if the alien is admissible or deportable.
Wortman mistakenly conflates the VWP with ESTA. A major mistake, but the article accurately describes the gangs that are hitting the homes of the very rich in the United States; Chileans who are entering ostensibly legally and doing their dirty work after admission. Ostensibly legally since the VWP does not allow aliens to enter to commit burglary or other criminal offenses, but these Chilean gangsters are being inspected and admitted by an Immigration Officer, but use fraud to gain admission, itself a crime punishable by Title 8 United States Code Section 1325, Improper Entry By An Alien.
Ackman lies when he claims that the gangs are made up of illegal aliens or asylum claimants who are denied work authorization and then forced into a life of crime to feed themselves and their families.
This, of course, is the big lie of the radical left and Jewish apologists for criminals, the big lie directed against the law and the hero, Inspector Javert, the ever so popular lie in the West since Les Misérables, the big lie that poverty causes crime, that criminals are forced into stealing bread to feed their families.
But no one travels thousands of miles to commit burglary to feed their families. They could much more cheaply steal from fellow Chileans; there are supermarkets in Chile where bread and even vegetables can be stolen to feed a starving family.
But should we believe that Ackman just got this wrong? That he does not read the press, that he knows nothing about the world? Chilean burglary gangs are an old story to those who follow immigration as an issue, but ignorance is no excuse in the internet age: a quick search on the subject would have informed Ackman about the facts.
